Grants
We work with our partners to seek grant funding to facilitate our reciprocal activities.
We had recent grants from Health Education England worth £60,000 towards our simulation program and nursing fellowship.
Together with Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital, we also received around £90,000 in grant funding from the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association for Antimicrobial Stewardship (2023-2024) and £300,000 as a Global Health Workforce grant from DHSC UK (2024-2025). Both grants have been awarded through the Global Health Partnerships (formerly THET).
We are always actively seeking further grants to support our ongoing activities.
Our Supporters
We are grateful to those who fundraise to support the important work Dharura engages in. We welcome volunteer fundraising but never make this a mandated element of engaging in our partnerships. We have raised around £15,000 from individual fundraisers in the last 5 years, as well as around £5000 from medical professionals donating fees from additional professional activities to the charity.
We actively seek supporters, including local businesses, trusts and foundations, that can support Dharura to ensure our activities are sustainable and effective. Please contact admin@dharura.org if you are interested in supporting.
